Employee Assistance Program
The Here to Help Company is a leading Employee Assistance Program (EAP), provider. Our programs focus on giving management the support and resources necessary to reduce people risk and get employees to perform at their best.
Common risks and liabilities faced by employers include absenteeism, reduced productivity, presenteeism, and decreased employee engagement. The research and case studies presented indicate that these issues can be remedied through the implementation and use of an EAP.
Defining EAP Services
An EAP Service is a confidential therapeutic program, that is designed to help employees and family members who have personal problems that can interfere with their work and family life. Workers don’t suffer alone however, their stress takes its toll on family, friends and colleagues too. As many as 43% of respondents in a recent report stated that their family and friends have noticed they are stressed by work and 63% say that stress is damaging their co-worker’s personal relationships.
Like physical injuries or illnesses, mental health concerns are legitimate health issues that may require professional consultation and care to facilitate healing. We provide consultation on issues such as, but not limited to: –
- Anxiety and Stress
- Grief
- Compulsive Behaviours
- Depression
- Confidence
- Anger Management
- Interpersonal Conflict
- Personal Crisis
- Relocation Stress
- Suicide Prevention
The Here to Help team is here to provide confidential screening, assessment and risk management. By addressing issues early on, we can help prevent small problems from becoming overwhelming, costly and destructive.
How an EAP Service Works
EAPs are confidential, multifaceted counselling, education and referral programs designed to help with personal problems, particularly those that affect job performance. During the scheduled appointment, an EAP consultant works to help clarify problems and concerns and develop ways to address such issues. Employees are usually eligible for an average of six visits per fiscal year and it’s use by the individual is strictly confidential. Information shared with an EAP consultant will not be disclosed to anyone without the employee’s written permission, unless there is direct threat of physical harm to the employee, or someone else.
Return on Investment
A recent study found that organisations conservatively, had an average ROI of 8.7:1. So for every €50 a Spanish company invests in an EAP program, they would expect to see a €430 return! Looking at the Return On Investment (ROI) for individual organizations, the study concluded that organisations with higher usage of their EAP programs typically had a better return than those with lower usage levels. Organisations with usage levels of 15% and above, for example, typically had a return exceeding €500 for every €50 invested in their EAP.
