General Client Contract
If you are looking to start therapy with the Here to Help Co please find below details of our general client contract, which includes all the practical arrangements so you are clear and comfortable with all aspects of therapy.
Contract
Location: We are located at Here to Help Co, Avenue Des Dattiers, Albion, Mauritius. Other locations can be arranged, including home and works visits, please call or speak to your therapist for details.
Times of Session: We have a flexible approach to appointments. We always try to arrange appointments at a time that is convenient to you. This means that taking time out to see your therapist does not have to interfere with your existing commitments.
Fees: For individual private clients, fees are payable on a session-by-session basis on arrival. Fees for sessions vary depending on age, employment, the time, day and location. Fees will remain the same for the duration of your therapy and your fee has been agreed at Mauritian Rupees per 50-minute session.
Confidentiality: All therapists are bound by their professional code of conduct regarding confidentiality. A therapist will only breach your confidence if you say something that implies danger to yourself, or others.
Communication with External Agencies: If you like we can inform your GP that you are receiving PCT (Person Centered Therapy) and at the end of the treatment, we can also send discharge notification – indicating the effects of treatment. This service is free of charge. With your permission, full psychiatric assessments can be provided for medical and legal reports.
Self Help: Patients are actively encouraged to do “homework” such as reading, diaries, exercises between sessions as this has been proven to improve therapy outcomes.
Cancellations: The psychotherapist will attempt to reschedule cancelled appointment if you are unable to attend your booked appointment. We do however operate a 24 hours cancellation policy, or the full fee will be incurred.
Emergency: Your psychotherapist will provide details of contacting the service in a crisis or out of usual office hours. In exceptional cases, your therapist will help you formulate a plan of what to do in an emergency.
Termination of Contract: Both parties have the right to terminate a therapy contract at any time.
Medication: Person-Centered Therapy is compatible with most medications. For some disorders, a combined approach (medication and therapy) has been shown to work best. If this is the case, your psychotherapist will discuss your options with you.
