Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Psychological trauma (commonly referred to as an anxiety disorder named Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD) is the result of being subjected to a distressing event. It is the mind’s reaction to the event that can manifest various symptoms leaving you unable to cope or to move forward with your life.

It is important to note that everyone will respond in their own individual, unique way. Some people will experience mild symptoms, whilst others will experience severe symptoms. It is advised that anyone suffering from psychological trauma seek professional treatment. A person may respond with symptoms days after the event, or months, or even years.
